Mmm, pre-game chicken
I guess I should call attention to the fact that someone from my hometown (in fact, we're both alumni of the same high school) was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame this past weekend. The Tampa Tribune was apparently giving Wade Boggs saturation coverage all last week. And his plaque mentions the Devil Rays!

I bet somewhere in the Hall it notes that Willie McGee won the NL batting title in 1985 with a .353 average.
Given that he was traded for current Carmian and then-Cardinal Bob Sykes, that's probably as close as Carmi gets.

Well, Carmi has a pizza place named DiMaggio's and the Hall of Fame has a player named DiMaggio, and Carmi once had a football star named Johnny Evers (who was/is a Cubs fan, by the way). That's about all I can think of.
Levi and Jim are probably destined to be inducted some day, as soon as they start a bloggers' wing.
